What is the What #6

"There are young girls, some of them only seventeen years old. You know what I mean?" I did not know what he meant. -Achor Achor and Valentino

I don't think it really relates to any of the questions. I chose it because I thought it was really funny how they're not communicating. Achor Achor is trying to give Valentino subtle hints and he's not understanding any of it. If it had to relate to one of the questions, it would probably relate to #5, but it isn't really a hardship, so I don't think that this quote is any of the questions.

I understand how Valentino feels. My friends have tried to hint stuff at me before and I haven't understood any of it. When something like that happens to you, you feel really confused and stupid, but it would probably seem funny to other people.

Has anything like this ever happened to you?

"For some time, many of us made the mistake of simply giving him money." -Valentino

I think this relates to question #5 because his friend Daniel is desperate for money since he has a gambling problem. Since they came to America, Sudanese have started forming bad habits. I think that this is because that now they have access to necessities such as food and water and so much more, some of them become vain and selfish.

I think that Daniel is really selfish. I also think that it's bad of him to leave his wife and children to go gambling. It's pretty messed up that he looks to Valentino and other people to bail him out of his problems.

Have you ever had a bad habit?

Lord of the Flies Post #4

Chapter(s): 4
Character Perspective: Simon
Group: 4

Savagery

Insanity. Idiocy. Savagery. I believe these things will get to us. In fact, I believe they already are. And though I don't like to point fingers, I believe Jack is the one behind it. He let the fire go out. He's the one who would have no trouble killing anyone or anything he doesn't like. Now that he's caught a pig, he seems that much more powerful. People will start looking at him as a leader now. After all, all Ralph does is blow the conch and say things at meetings. Jack provides us food. That's what everyone will start thinking. And poor Piggy. If Jack ever became chief, I would give it five minutes before Piggy was beans on toast (english slang :P). It's all because of the fear this beastie started. Those stupid littluns had to go and blatantly scare everyone about something that doesn't even exist. It's this fear that's pulling us apart and there's no balm for it. And Jack's belligerence doesn't help either. If we keep fighting like this, If we keep acting like savages, then I believe It'll be very soon that we're looking toward each other with malevolence, and great gouts of our blood will be splattered on every inch of this island.
